Advent Words 2017

Most of my art projects for 2017 are winding down,
but one last challenge has peaked my interest.

This month, Mary Brack (Found on Brighton) is doing an
Advent Challenge.

I think this is a wonderful way to prepare for the forthcoming season,
to focus on the true meaning of Christmas
& join with other artists at this special time of the year.

You can follow along on Instagram,
just look for
#AdventWords2017
or join her Facebook group
here.

I will be using a small album from 7gypsies.
It's called a Naked Gypsy Wire-O Album
& I have had it for years.

I love the description on the tag.

"THIS WIRE-O ALBUM IS THE REALIZATION OF THE DREAMS
AND HOPES OF A FEW STALWARTS WHO DELIGHT IN THE
MYSTERIES OF WIRE AND BOOK BOARD. THOUGH NAKED,
WITHOUT EMBELLISHMENT OR FLASHY PROTUBERANCES, IT HAS
A CERTAIN SOMETHING THAT SETS IT APART. IT MAY BE THE
HOPE IN IT'S UNCERTAIN FUTURE OR IT'S MODEST BEGINNINGS
ON A PATH TO HIGH ART AND DECORATIVE SPLENDOR. ALL
THINGS ARE POSSIBLE FOR THOSE THAT LOVE AND DREAM."

The pages are approx 4½ inches across
& 2½ inches high.

I am planning to use collage,
keeping it plain & simple ...
as an antidote to all that glitter.

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE
FOR THOSE THAT LOVE AND DREAM.
