Who What Why Where & When

Michelle's Green Pepper Press Street Team Crusade this month fired off so many ideas that I finally settled on doing just one more project ... for now.

This version asks the questions who am I as an artist, what identifies my work, why do I do what I do, where do I create & when.

I used another page spread in my Eco Green Crafts board book for dimensional art.

I used the wonderful images provided by Michelle, with added text, a butterfly from Dover & gorgeous papers designed by Brenda Walton from K & Company.

These patterned papers have been my favourite for a while now ... supplies are running low.

I created a pocket on the second page to hold my five tags. I made the tags, covering them with patterned paper on both sides.

I used black grosgrain ribbon to hold the paper notes on the back of each tag.

The paper notes were created from an image from the Plentiful range by Shabby Princess.

The paper notes are two-sided, so more notes could be added later.

My other project for this challenge can be seen here.

Budding Iris

A card made for Mothers Day, which is on Sunday 3rd April this year here in England.

I used a decoupage sheet from La Pashe.

The layers were cut out & edged with black ink, then shaped & adhered using Pinflair Glue Gel to give added dimension.

I used a sheet of patterned paper from K & Company as backing, with the edges sanded.

A Forensic Self-Portrait

The crusade this month for the GPP Street Team is to create a forensic self-portrait.

Click on the picture below to watch a slideshow of my completed project or visit me on YouTube to watch the video.

I used the icon sheet provided (printed out on a background created from two images from The Graphics Fairy), a butterfly image from Dover & I created my project in a Eco Green Crafts board book for dimensional art.

To see a further project for the same challenge, please see here.

She loved to dance ...

A co-ordinating companion for my violin playing hero.

The mountboard base was covered with a printed image from The Vintage Moth. The image of the lady is from Mary at Green Paper, from her December 2010 challenge.

I added a strip of Love script vellum & a butterfly to give dimension.

He loved to play ...

This is my entry for this week's Art Creations Friday challenge, using the image provided.

The base is mountboard, covered in a printed image from The Vintage Moth.

I added a strip of script vellum & cut out two more butterflies to add dimension.

Green Paper Challenge: Winter Snow

Mary at Green Paper hosts a collage challenge each month,
so here is what I created with the inspirational images provided by Mary for March.

The base is an unwanted dvd.

After downloading Mary's challenge images,
I started by altering the colour balance so all three images toned together,
then printed them out on white card.

To decoupage the lady, I printed her out four times.

All the cut edges were inked with Distress Ink (peeled paint).
The front was covered with one image, then the different layers built up.

I added two old buttons threaded with light silver metallic thread.

The red stamp is taken from a previous challenge, giving a much needed boost of colour.
I punched two holes in the top
& used a piece of old white satin ribbon to create my hanging loop.

The back is covered with an image from Mary's free download collection.
